Shandy is a sweet, joyful girl. She makes people smile wherever she goes. It is so hard for us to understand how anyone could mistreat such a gentle, happy soul, yet prior to arriving at HSAR, she had been neglected, mistreated, and then abandoned. She was either thrown from a car and/or hit by a car on Rd. A-24 in Sierra Valley. She underwent exploratory surgery on 7/10, but unfortunately the foreign body could not be located. She is recuperating well but has just gone through a second surgery at the cost $3,600.

We are hoping to raise funds to cover the minimum required for her diagnostics, surgery and medications. We will keep you posted as to her progress. In the meantime, please make a donation today to support this lovely gal's care so we can get her on the road to a new life!
