Help Kermit Get Back to Hopping!

Help Kermit Get Back to Hopping! image

Kermit has captured a lot of hearts with his striking blue eyes, goofy personality, and incredibly sweet nature. Despite everything he's been through, he continues to greet each day with a wagging tail and a hopeful spirit.

Before arriving at High Sierra Animal Rescue, Kermit suffered a rear CCL injury. He is currently awaiting a second opinion, but it appears he will likely need major surgery to repair the damage and give him the pain free future he deserves.

The estimates we've received have been as high as $6,000. As a nonprofit rescue, unexpected medical cases like Kermit's can place a significant strain on our resources, but we believe every dog deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life.

Kermit is only 3 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He is affectionate, gentle, playful, and loves being around people. He has a way of making everyone smile and he is a good reminder of why we are here - to help the dogs who need us.

If you are able to contribute, donations of any amount will go directly toward Kermit's surgery, rehabilitation, and recovery. Every dollar helps bring him one step closer to running, playing, hopping, and enjoying life again.

We are also searching for a medical foster home. Kermit will need a quiet, calm place to recover after surgery and during physical therapy. Ideally, we're looking for a home where he can rest, heal, and receive plenty of love while his body recovers.

Thank you for supporting dogs like Kermit. Your kindness gives them the second chance they deserve.
